Ramblings of Wife, Mother & Romantic

A Little Late December 11, 2008

I forgot to post a blog on the 6th to celebrate the birth of my youngest son Ian Matthews. He is now three years old, This little boy is every bit  a miracle and a joy to my heart. Looking into his eyes fills me with love, kissing his lips softens me to  butter. I love you dear sweet Ian to the day i die.

I am believing this is the start of a glorious business ,

As many of you know i have been making hand made wood signs for a year now, I have sold a lot over the year, but i have been looking for a way to get my name out there besides in my church.

A month or so back a Farmer’s Market opened Thursday Nights and i found out last week that its only $15 a week to have a booth.

I went and filled out an application today and just so happened that the lady in charge was in and i am able to start tomorrow.

I am super excited and at the same time nervous.

I had to work out a plan to get everything done tomorrow, I have to go and set up my booth at 3pm, so my dear Friend Michell will be picking up Adia from school and i will be taking the boys with me.

I have about 17 signs made,

I designed a sheet for custom orders

and Rudy said he’s going to design me a flyer as well tonight.

I am praying all goes well, and people like them.

I really think i can go far with this, with God’s help.

Keep me in your prayers tomorrow, and come out and check my booth out.

I have been in such a mood of burning things in

my back yard….yes burning!

I have been pulling dead trees apart with my bare hands,

cleaning out dead cactus and other weird plants which i am unaware of their names,

but they do have thorns and now my arms and hands have mutilations from them.

Every time i start the fire pit, my heart beats faster, my heart pounds if i hear a truck

turn the corner…(could it be the fire department?)

Why do i fear this? you may ask. well i will tell you

2 years ago i decided to burn trees down…well oleanders to be exact.

little did i know that the smoke was going straight into a neighbours window

and this said person called me in cause she was having trouble breathing.

(Whoops)

i have 4 very large firemen dressed in full gear traipsing through house into my back yard.

only to tell me all was OK, the fire was contained and i was doing everything the right way.

Still to this day though i get scared…..

i have tons more to burn, but i do see a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak,

my yard is looking better.

What You’ve All been waiting for November 29, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jaccalynkorv @ 7:35 pm

Ok, its finally here…it was the longest i ever had to wait for something…but as my Dad and probably ever other parent in America and the world would say ‘It builds Character’    On Our Anniversary we decided to go to the dealership and see if we could trade in our town and country limited van. It was almost at 100,000 miles, we had replace the brakes 3 times this past year and other things were starting to go wrong, and our warranty was up.

We went to the Nissan dealership first but they wouldn’t give us what we wanted for the van, so off to the Chrysler dealership we went.

That was where we bought our van anyways, They were very helpful and got us what we needed, and what was funny the car they brought for us to look at was one we had talked about getting, we had it as a rental car awhile back and loved it.

They brought it in from Phoenix so we picked it up last night….and its so much better than i dreamed.

It’s a 2008 Chrysler Sea-bring…..

I love it, I adore it…My husband is the best-est ever!

The trunk is HUGE, so big we could put maybe 5 kids in there…..the kids think that’s where they get to ride…I wish!

My Thanksgiving morning started off a bit earlier than i had hoped.

Ian fell asleep last night around 5:30pm and slept all night but woke me up at 4:00AM

He layed in bed with us for an hour, but after him calling my Father at 5AM i figured

I should probably get up and keep an eye on him.

I look at the brightside, i wanted to make cinnomon rolls for breakfast and now

i wont be rushed, AND i can sit and read God’s word after i blog.

Start my day off with His word, Today is going to be a stress free, happy Day~

I might write a little later on….

Ramblings in the night November 21, 2008

So i have been a mother for nearly 6 years now,
i have gone through many stages with each one of them,
by far i think this year has been my hardest by far
I do so well with the babies wanting to nurse through the night,
babies throwing up i just might be the queen of that one.
All the little baby stages, even toddler stages i do so well at.
But darn it if this 5 year old stage is whooping my butt.
But by God's grace i will survive and get out on the
other side with all my sanity.
I just know that i am going to need Lots and Lots of
strength to raise my sweet little girl.
God will not give me more than i am able to handle.

So Very Proud November 18, 2008

My Dearest sweet only daughter received Student of the week today…..She was so full of joy as she ran out of her classroom. I know this is one of those events that every child will receive and not even that big of a deal to an adult, but to my five year old it meant the world.

november2008-007Here is the star (we) colored and cut our together, with her name on it, that will be hung on the board in the front office for ALL the world to see.

november2008-002This is the poster that we filled out and colored that she will take to school tomorrow and Miss Rollins will read to the class.

november2008-005Here’s an up close of the photos we chose to put on it, A very silly face and one from her Ballet recital that Amber took.

Sorry for the un ruly color, it was at night and my flash batteries were dead.

I look forward to many more student of the week from this bright little girl…even though she is quite the child to raise, she truly brings my heart happiness.
